I do not like jim carey at all in any of his other films but this one actally was good. I really liked how the story pulled a character out of Jim Carey instead of him just acting silly as he normally does. It actually seems like there is some depth here to this movie and Jim Carey.

This was quite a unique movie. I know that i could never say yes to everything and this movie shows me why. Jim Carrey has added another great film to his list. Yes Man is a outrageously funny film. Everyone has those thoughts of they shouldn't have said yes to something. This movie takes one man and has him saying yes to everything. Some of the questions that come to me on a normal day would ruin my life if i said yes. They writers have taken those choices and said "Yes!" Some of the outcomes are outrageous and i could totally see myself in some of those situations. It's a big jump from The Truman Show and Bruce All Mighty, but this is one film that if you like to laugh you have to see.

I always want to like Jim Carey, but I didn't find myself laughing through much of this. I liked the premise which was simple...I suppose where it lost me was in how it was applied. I thought this movie was trying a little too hard to be funny without actually being honest. The story was engaging enough, and I didn't fall asleep, but I didn't walk out of this a changed man. I'm not even sure I would say that this one is really worth seeing. Jim Carey may have lost his ability to make me laugh, but something about his performance in this again reaffirmed my opinion that Carey is trying too hard to be the funniest one in the room and no one wants to polite ask him to be quiet. Please go back to eternal sunshine, Jim.

Yes Man is nothing like Liar Liar...Jim Carrey is not under a spell. This is a hilarious look at someone who feels that they have nothing to offer, but discover that he does...that we all do. Jim Carrey changes his life and becomes a YES MAN. I loved watching this transformation and the hilarious encounters he has because he has to say yes. Bradley Cooper at Carrey's best friend was excellent. I have loved him since Alias, and this movie was a great role for him. This is a top notch movie that is moving and hilarious. You will laugh out loud time and time again as Jim Carrey puts himself into situations out of his comfort zone. Deschanel is also great. She is a great actress and truly beautiful. I would be watching out for her as the next A list star. Go see this movie and become a YES man yourself. You might just find that these truths will impact your life.

Hey what an original concept. Think of a wacky zany idea that makes no plausible sense in reality. Add a sprinkle of Jim Carrey and, woolah, it actually IS plausible! Well, that may not necessarily be true. What is true is Jim Carrey’s ability to take us away from the rational world temporarily in a fun way. This is so blatantly formulaic I am sure there is a chance they blatantly out the script from Liar Liar into a paper shredder. Then they randomly taped the pieces together and went with the results for this script!! It’s good to see after so many years that Jim Carrey has still retained what makes him special. This movie may not have the same heart as Truman Show (or dumb and Dumber!), but it did make my gut hurt again in the vein of Liar Liar and other Carrey classics.
