A documentary about outspoken playwright Tony Kushner is too reverent to dig deeply. Anyone seeking an approximation of Kushner's uniquely cerebral theatricality will have to look elsewhere.What Mock does manage to convey, as she trails Kushner around his home in Manhattan, his never-ending lecture-circuit stops, the place where he grew up in Lake Charles, La. ...
