But Women in Trouble is demeaning to women not....That elevator scene gets so preposterous, especially in Doris's story about the addict boyfriend and how she got rid of him.... ... Full Review

Women In Trouble' Is Interesting But Flawed....empowering them in many ways, it exploits the sex industry and the attractiveness of its actresses with various shots of them in underwear.....It's certainly an interesting film, if a flawed one.....It's like the film has embraced two equally unhappy cliches:....The film is very well acted;.... ... Of course, the Marley Shelton-Josh Brolin scenes are funnier....so the scene was more tedious than entertaining.....thought it might be easy to shoot several of them, all with different actresses, to make a good movie quickly.....Some of the more straightforward dramatic scenes, such as Elektra and Doris discussing their futures, seemed more suited to the Lifetime channel.....Once you get used to the anthology structure, you can enjoy the characters' plights..... ...
