Woh Saat Din

Widower Dr. Anand (Naseeruddin Shah) gets re-married to a much younger girl, Maya, (Padmimi Kolhapure). He soon comes to know that the marriage was made without her consent. After he gains her confidence, he gets her to tell him who she really loves, and it is Prem Pratap Patialawala (Anil Kapoor), a street singer, self-styled musician. Dr. Anand then attempts to locate Prem Pratap, with a view to re-unite the lovers. Since Dr. Anand's mom is seriously ill, he asks Maya to remain his wife for about seven days, as he does not expect his mother to survive longer, to which Maya agrees. Dr. Anand, in the guise of a movie producer, hires Prem Pratap as his Music Director, and then eventually invites him to his house, so that the lovers may see each other again. Will Dr. Anand be successful in re-uniting Prem and Maya?

Woh Saat Din, or Woh 7 Din, is a 1983 Bollywood Hindi film. Produced by Surinder Kapoor, it stars his son Anil Kapoor along with Padmini Kolhapure and Naseeruddin Shah. It was Anil Kapoor's first lead role. Anil Kapoor's role, Naseeruddin's acting and the film's music were considered strengths of the film. The music was done by Laxmikant Pyarelal while Anand Bakshi wrote the lyrics. It is a remake of K. Bhagyaraj's Tamil movie Antha Ezhu Naatkal.
