I actually really liked it. For some strange reason it sort of reminded me of Napolean Dynamite... but it wasn't a comedy. I found it to obe very touching and sweet--- sort of a rainy day movie. ^^*****... Full review

Instead of making a fascinating film about the development of a "crush" in adolescence, the filmmaker has managed to create a hollow story that goes nowhere, develops none of the characters, and is apparently attempting to be poetic and arty... Full review

I like this movie. For me some of the scenes were ambiguous, especially the ending. I recommend this movie to individuals who won't look at this film superficially. There are deep meanings in the film.... Full review

Okay, I love independent films, but I expected a little more from this movie. I wanted a little more continuity. And, a better resolution. Please, someone tell me what the hell the ending meant. I bought the movie, so I'll watch... Full review

PopMatters
Like the onset of hormones, Cam Archers Wild Tigers I have Known mixes a heady swirl of daydreams and stripped-down self-awareness, resulting in a coming of age story as authentic as it is artful. His choice of erotica is just a little too fitting: the wrestlers match, drawn out in slow motion as their bodies contort and lunge and straddle one another, mirrors the symbolic struggle that Logan will endure with other boys in the film. ... I even found myself thinking that stills taken from the film would serve nicely as fine art photography. In that sense, it may remind you of Van Sant's What little equilibrium Logan has in his life is thrown off when he encounters Rodeo (Patrick White), an attractively sullen hoodie-wearing school skipper two years older than himself. ... Archer has obvious visual talent, and he is certainly ambitious, but this tale is dead on arrival. There is talent on display here, but it is ill-used and that makes Wild Tigers I Have Known a frustrating experience ... Full Review

Striking and self-indulgent in equal measure, Cam Archer's first feature, "Wild Tigers I Have Known," is an impressive declaration of talent that nonetheless gets a little drunk and disorderly at the trough of High Art. ... Full Article

Double Negative label, Emily Jane White's Dark Undercoat is a solemn trek down familiar roads, its hushed, dusky style of storytelling recalling the subdued side of PJ Harvey, with lyrical roots stemming from a common pool of reconstituted American gothic. ... Full Article
