it may be a worth a rental, at least, to those with sufficiently low expectations.....even though the action is mundane, the scene is dreamlike, almost hypnotic.....he obviously has talent and lots of potential.....The first three minutes of "Weapons" are easily the most memorable part of the movie.....This story may have been better served by an entire cast of unknowns..... ... The acting is not bad per-say, Paul Dano is interesting on the screen visually....if the characters and story were somewhat hopeless.....The soundtrack does fit rather well, with a gritty low bass rap tune fueling many of the scenes.....Nick Cannon does well with his part as do many of the supporting actors I did not actually name..... ... For one thing Lough did the old watch events from different points of view thing, but all that did was make me feel like I had to sit through a bad film three times instead of just one.
I really did want to give this a chance and for about the first 15 or 20 minutes although I didnt think it was great, I thought it was ok and moving in an interesting direction.
