Justin Long takes a back seat to the funny, becoming more laid back than his normal quirky self and letting Dane Cook and Ryan Reynolds hold down the comedy. Monty also really enjoys showing the new guy Mitch (John Francis Daley) around the restaurant, which includes some crazy introductions to Raddimus (Luis Guzman), Floyd (Dane Cook) and the rest of the kitchen staff. ... while Justin Long's troubled twentysomething belongs to a more thoughtful film that isn't obsessed with genital contortion Ryan Reynolds' irritatingly smug cradle-snatcher is offset by choice support from Anna Faris and Luis Guzman ... Full Review

First time writer-director Rob McKittrick has assembled a decent comic cast....The main problem with the film is....the best part of the film is the made-up rap song sung by two minor cast members over the end credits.....In short, Waiting is something of a disappointment.....Poorly directed, depressingly dull comedy with hardly any laugh-out-loud moments -.... ... I absolutely loved this movie, it was hysterical....The movie is about a Shenanigan's, a restaurant where the wait staff is a mix of crazy misfits who all have problems.....Waiting Serves Up the Laughs....I think to really enjoy this movie you have to have worked in a restaurant..... ... Amazingly, in spite of all the problems with Waiting... These few highlights, however, can't make up for the dull narrative and superficial characterisations, and limit Waiting... there were moments I did enjoy, and occasional laughs. ... Full Review

Throw in some B-movie actors, an extremely low budget and a hilarious plot and you have a formula for a cult classic comedy. But alas, this is Reynolds' show and he runs it well. And secondly, Andy Milonakis should stick to annoying TV. ... Full Review

it's a mark of the movie's ineptitude....Dumb 'Waiting' will test patience....No, the script acknowledging as much with a few lame jokes doesn't help.....poorly made time-waster that confuses frat-house crudity and shock gags with actual humor..... ... Full Review

There is a small message about Waiting , and thats waiting to get the hell out of a mindless job like such; however for some, this job is all they want and will ever have. Waiting involves a crazy cast of characters running a food joint; exemplifying the lighter side of being in your twenties, wondering when that whole maturation process is going to begin and thrust us into what were actually supposed to be doing with our lives. ... As for McKittrick's first feature, it's an ugly-looking movie with even uglier attempts at humor, and appears to have been shot on home video. And it's sad to see such talents as Luis Guzman and Chi McBride wasted in dreck like this. ... Full Review
