Weak acting, direction doom 'Dark....plausible, the 1967 movie was a hit mainly for its superior cast (Audrey Hepburn earned an Oscar nod) and tight direction, both of which make plot holes entirely forgivable.....It got really dark but too bad the story didn't freak us out....."C." As if to make up for the lack of tension over the past two hours, the climax is overblown..... ... Full Review

There are three things that save "Wait Until Dark": the fine performances by Hepburn, Arkin, and Crenna; a great, jangy music score by Henry Mancini; and Young's direction.

WAIT UNTIL DARK comes with a perfectly acceptable Dolby Digital monaural soundtrack.
This is a pretty nice transfer, although there are some minor flaws in the presentation, due to the film elements, which do show some signs of age.

I won't say much more to avoid spoilers, but I will say this: The movie was great to begin with, but the ending alone makes it a classic - which any fan of Hepburn, Arkin or just thrillers simply cannot miss.
Hepburn, however, defies such expectations in 1967's Wait Until Dark , the movie which clinched her fifth and final Oscar nomination, and boasts stunning suspense.
