The time since Prabhu Deva have entered into Direction he have created a Very Beautiful movie which have also been remaked for Bollywood Wanted Still in Process, he have earned it.
The movie says that their was a boy who is takin revenge on his father's killer. The film is packed with Love Scene, Singing, Dancing, Fighting (As Vijay is inthe Lead Role and as he is a Big Fan Of Rajni the Super Star) and all kind of Motherly Love. The director of the Movie have made Vijay more dashing in all the fight sequence.
Nayanthara, and for me, at least, the film starts there. her everlasting glaze with small costumes and bubbly nature.
Vadivelu’s comedy is loud and in-your-face but it provides some laughs.
A mix theory of Vadivelu and Nayanthara have created a lot oh humour in the movie which is diffrent for Nayanthara.
The overall movie is a Typical Masala Movie from Kollywood.
Villu film is a super comedy power pack film. Vijay has done an excellent work comparing with kuruvi. Here, in this film comedy with Vadivelu is excellent. The romance and love affair between Nayanthara and Vijay is a good package. The main story is actually the one man show like Father Vijay was killed by the culprits and the son Vijay is taking revenge on it. Though the story is somewhat old, the director handled in a good manner. The most important thing is the excellent and pleasant music which makes all the songs to be super hit. This is really a good film which entertains the audience for three hours.
Villu is a typical Vijay movie. Trying to make this film more and more youthful, there are some super natural or even unbelievable things that prevail in this movie. The plot once again is frustrating with Vijay seeking for revenge of anti social elements. The music is very good and has attracted people of all ages. The comedy aspect lagged a bit. The pace of the film was also not very good. The film is very much like kuruvi and it is a complete waste of time watching this movie. At least from now on, Vijay must choose his projects more carefully as his fans keep on insisting.
A super formula movie again by Director Prabudeva with Super Hero Vijay. The plot of the movie is how the the son is taking revenge against the group, who killed his father.Heroine Nayanthara looks very pleasant. She simply comes as a doll.Vadivelu's comedy somewhat boring in this movie. As usual we enjoyed the movie with Vijay's action, dance & comedy. Music Director Sri Deviprasad done his work perfectly to the movie. Songs are simply rocking. Photography is very beautiful, particulary in outdoors. Costumes also superb. Overall, it is very enjoyable movie for Vijay fans. We expects more from Prabudeva.
Villu was supposed to be a major blockbuster considering that it has Vijay and Nayanthara in the lead. However this dynamic duo who acted in the Mega Hit Sivakasi are not able to prevent this movie from falling into a hole of its own making. With a paper dosa like plot, it almost seems like the director has assumed the viewer to be brain-dead. Vijay's role is that of Pughazh, who is after an international gangster JD (Prakashraj) to avenge his father's death. Vijay is like a superman in this movie, doing all kinds of stunts and flying over air and water. He does a good job emoting in the various scenes, however the overall framework of this movie is so poor that all this acting goes to waste. Vadivelu and Nayantara go about their usual comedy and dancing routines respectively. Prakashraj is too predictable as the international gangster, there is nothing that makes the viewer get remotely terrified of him. At the end, one wonders why all the talent is laid to waste and a movie with such potential turns out to be a dud.
after a disastrous kuruvi vijay comes with a treat for all masses the movie is simply rockin and its a fast paced action movie wit all masala formulas to become a mega hit prabu deva does a neat job if u r goin to movies for time pass then try this movie its a worth for ur ticket
OK, let's first agree on what we are reviewing. We are not looking for Villu to be an Oscar winner (or even contender). What we want is some fun time-pass, with good fight scenes, good music and catchy songs, some punchy dialogues, and strong comedy. On all these metrics, Villu is pretty good. There are no crappy punch dialogues like his earlier ones. No bullshit flying scenes like KURUVI. In the first half Vijay and vadivelu rock. The Movie BGM is good, hats off to Devi sri prasad. Prabhu deva has done a neat job. Overall, one of the best movies from Vijay after Gilli. Songs are also good and music-wise BGM is good it seems, Prakash Raj gives a good performance like he always does. Fights are good and better than Pokkiri. The comedy is actually pretty good - Vadivelu does a good job. Overall, it has all the ingredients to be a huge hit in India, especially among Vijay fans, which there are millions of!
its Vijays Hatric flop ..... worst direction from prabhudeva ... i never expected such a worst direction from him,,,,,, vadivelu comedy .... he plays the main reason for the flop of the movie ... the main thing to highlight in the movie is vijays military major role ...... which made everyone in the theater to laugh ...... including vijay fans ......
The movie is a total WASTE of time & money. The director Prabhudeva is brain drained with absolutely no story. The movie has its typical masalas - tiring fights and dances. The comedy sucks! Its time Vadivelu sheds some pounds before he can see himself on another movie. Nayantara can barely dress up and try to act. Her facial expressions are horrible especially in dances and when she tries to say a dialogue. Its time movies like this should be totally boycotted so actors stop bankrupting more producers. If at all, let them gamble with their own investments. Surprised how Vijay is lucky to be even among the top tamil actors. Wonder if at all the actors get to watch their own movie after completion even once.
