Vertical Limit does get a little misguided as it goes on, but with some worthy acting and chilling suspense, its a fair climb.... Full review

I had never walked out of a movie theater mid-way through a film - until I went to this movie. Painful. Cliche. Disgustingly horrible acting, script, story, everything. The worst movie I've ever seen.... Full review

This is one of the most intense movies I've seen in years. It will have you on the edge of your seat. With stunning action sequences although some are unrealistic. Besides those few scenes this movie certainly does deliver.... Full review

Here's a question: why is Chris O'Donnell still making movies? Didn't we see all we had to see from him in "The Bachelor?" Or how about Robin Tunney? Man, she got naked in "End Of Days," she should have just left... Full review

this movie has some of the best C.G.I. effects ever made. I felt that it was a camera up there on K2 following a real expedition. Good classic storyline "people get trapped in ice cavern other people rescue them". Awesome movie.... Full review

Forget the mountain, forget the snow, forget the conditions- Vertical Limit is a drama that could be played out on flat land, and it would still be a fantastic movie about love, family and courage. Paxton also looked forward to learning the art and science of climbing, especially from Vertical Limit's expert consultants. ... Full Review

Vertical Limit showcases awesome natural panoramas with big stunts in a sometimes thrilling Hollywood-style adventure. It's a bit formulaic and manipulative (soundtrack included) and unfortunately I didn't really care enough for the characters' plight. ... Full Review

The dialogue has nothing to say about anything, and even the various predicaments that the climbers find themselves in seem contrived (I don't believe that those climbing ropes can break that easily). The script by Robert King III (Red Corner, Cutthroat Island) can best be described as adequate. ... Full Review

The film looks glorious, too - shot mostly around Mount Cook in New Zealand by cinematographer David Tattersall, with some actual location footage from the base of K2 and seemingly minimal effects-work (nitro explosions, avalanches and ice-caves aside, obviously). ... Full Review
