first of all, for those who complain about such a disappointing ending, you think that all movies have to have a flow and stick with it throughout. well... not all stories have single plot. this movie is not complicated at all.... Full review

That's what you get when the witness, then suspect, keeps on changing his stories, then alibi. Gene Hackman performance is at its zenith. He successfully convinces me, first as a smug successful lawyer who will not tolerate a slight brush of... Full review

Under Suspicion is about the police grilling a rich tax attorny over the rape and murder of two young girls. One would suspect from the cast that the acting is top-notch, however it is not. Monica Belluci continues to impress me.... Full review

What an insipid movie. Dull and unsatisfying with the surprise unexplainable ending. The screen writer and director should be ashamed of themselves for wasting the viewers and actors time. Let me be emphatic, the ending was the biggest letdown I have... Full review

I thought this film is the single most important look at how an interrogation can ruin a suspects life and the interrogation can provide the suspect with the information that "proves his guilt." The rules of interrogation need to be changed... Full review

Freeman's problems are nothing compared to Hackman who starts the film with the worst toupee you've ever seen. As discrepancies in his testimony arise and details of his troubled marriage to Chantal (Monica Bellucci) are uncovered, the interrogator and the accused engage in a cat and mouse game of truth and deception. ... But this is Hackman's show, and his creation of a psychologically real character who's suffering huge inner complications is 10 times as good as anything Under Suspicion deserves. He pulls audience sympathy this way and that, making his character paranoid about his wealth and status, and bitter about the gulf in age between him and his wife. ... Full Review
