Ultimate X devotes as much time to fast-paced interviews as it does to fast-paced (and often stunning) footage and those expecting a balls-out X-Games experience might be a bit disappointed. Video: Presented as it was filmed (1.33:1 is the IMAX ratio), "Ultimate X" looks pretty good, although some of the film techniques give the appearance of haloing and edge enhancement, as well as compression artifacts. Ultimate X" looks at their motivations for participating in something they know will cause great bodily harm and has the possibility of killing them but unfortunately the film never looks at anything in any sort of meaningful depth. ...
