One of the most quoted movie lines originated in this movie. The movie follows a set of drifters on a treasure hunt and shows how greed brings out the worst of men. My dad had always told me this was a... Full review

Once again, Humphrey Bogart was overlooked for an oscar-noteworthy performance. The old prospector played by Walter Huston is perhaps one of the greatest characters produced by movies in the first half of the 20th century. In fact, Walter Huston won the... Full review

Great performances from Kate Winslet and especially Jackie Earle Haley though we fall short of truly caring about their characters as they explore their flaws. Smart, witty yet somewhat predictable script set in a suburban town that borders on the village... Full review

Definitely one of Bogart's gems. Bogart hit a home run with this film. On top of that, John Huston did a brillant job in directing. However, I think he did not let Bogie be Bogie in a couple scenes. It is... Full review

It's a balanced portrait of a wily director who had an executive angel on his side (Henry Blanke), and kept the "Treasure" project out of the hands of other parties until Huston's return from WW II service. Warner Bros has a long history of spoofing itself, its stars, its blockbusters, and massive music catalogue via cartoons, and "Eight Ball Bunny" is the perfect capper to the set. ... Full Review
