Despite that, what makes The Terminal entertaining is Tom Hanks' performance.
Not everyone will enjoy The Terminal because it's a bit too long and because of the sappy Hollywood ending.

Zeta-Jones and Hanks are good together, and as their on-screen relationship blossoms, the film's bitter-sweetness is best revealed.
Watching the extras made me wish the film had been more successful.

This isnt the worst film star or director has made, but it could be the smuggest.
No one here is remotely real and even Spielberg isnt convinced by the romance, swathed in gee-shucks sentimentality that proves to be terminally insincere.
