Largely, this is the film's largest asset....it isn't a terrible movie in the least.....is enjoyable as his usually are....a more introspective actor wouldn't have fit the role better....he's intelligent and involved in the process of moviemaking like few are..... ... Full Review

It's a gripping film nevertheless because of its frenetic pace....some cool thrills are provided by those scenes in which a police car accompanied by a cavalcade of motorbikes crashes.... ... Full Review

He has simply made a hysterical film;....More complex characters, better story .......if Tony Scott does have scandalous photos of Denzel Washington, that might explain a lot.....Scott jerks us through the air with panoramic shots, does slow-motion whip pans through Manhattan streets, offers up blurry and oversaturated interstitial snippets.... ... This is not normally an exciting or interesting scene....Washington and Travolta are the reason why this movie is so much fun to watch.The script is pretty solid.....they were in the cross-hairs of a sniper.John Travolta and Denzel Washington are superb in The Taking of Pelham 123....this scene was definitely more entertaining than just watching some people wandering around unaware.... ...
