Polar Express combines good storytelling with spectacular visuals.
Terrific voice performances provide personalities for the nameless characters, and the zesty direction makes the film admirably entertaining on its own terms.

Kids are enchanted by animation - because its usually big, bright, colorful, and most importantly, moving all around.
Which explains why Journey to the Center of the Earth and The Polar Express 3D both come with the silly glasses.

The 3D presentation didn't turn this into a good film, but I thought it made things a little livelier.
On many levels, I must regard The Polar Express as a disappointment.
Music also offered strong stereo delineation.
That was bad for the story
