I couldn't get past the Sin Eater premise, so the film failed for me.

Where that film's exuberance was palpable in every frame, from first to last, The Order is a miserably dark and sluggish picture to endure.....Which is what makes The Order that much more disappointing.....Ledger, a gifted actor whose charisma and ability have yet (with the exception of A Knight's Tale ) to be properly explored, fails to find the depths of Bernier's inner torment -.... ... Ledger in the role of a ghost-busting Catholic priest could have given this piece of work some camp value but it fails to produce even that level of entertainment, and The Order is unbelievably boring.
After being subjected to numerous takes of Heath Ledger bawling over a dead body, you quickly remember that The Order is crap, in case you forgot.
