Joan of Arc a spoiled brat? Well that is at least the impression that this horrid movie on the life of Joan of Arc (Milla Jovovich) made on me. Her attitude makes you dislike her from the start. At times you... Full review

If you are wondering about Luc Besson's vaguely heretical "The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc" try to imagine a cross between "Excalibur" and "Heaven's Gate". It looks great but the basic story gets lost in the histrionics and... Full review

The scenes of combat are visceral and exciting but I'd have to say that this movie is genius if for no other reason than the fact that the incredible degree of ambiguity in the film remains completely and utterly unresolved... Full review

This film shows a modest attempt to try and recreate the emotions and bitterness between England and France between 1337-1453. While the acting is good and an ambitious budget delievers results the storyline is disfigured and portrays an aimless blood bath... Full review

I am big fan of Luc Besson, whose "La Femme Nikita" (which he wrote and directed) and "Kiss of the Dragon" (which he wrote and produced) are two of my favorite action movies.....it would become this boring, especially with so many bloody battle scenes and great American actors involved.....The movie is very boring.....It is a boring movie, folks.....All of the above being said, "The Messenger" is one of the most boring movies I have ever seen..... ... The biggest knock against director Luc Besson is that he's always been more concerned with capturing a beautiful visual moment than with telling a story.
