DVD: Lost, The / Jack Ketchum's The Lost (2006) Sivertson, a film school colleague of Lucky McKee, co-directed the horror spoof All Cheerleaders Die (2001) with the latter, and it was McKee who bought The Lost film rights for Sivertson after Mckee's breakthrough film May (2002) impressed Ketchum and convinced the author that his characters would be in good hands. ... Fans looking for a decent thriller or a frightening fear flick had best look elsewhere.....up to that point, the film's inclusion in the genre is doubtful at best.....Unpleasant but initially engrossing, the film overstays its welcome, going from engrossing to simply gross.....The highlight is the genuinely creepy performance by Marc Senter as Ray Pye, who shoots a couple of women in the woods in the opening scene;.... ... Id certainly have been interested to hear Silverston and/or Senter comment on the making of the film, but maybe its better to keep a little mystery about these things. The rest of the cast is first-rate as well, especially for such a low-budget production. ... Full Review
