A full length homage to film-noir and 1940's film-making. Engrossing and visually stylish, it never gets boring, though a bit confusing. A film that requires an attention span and patience. Some of the finest cinematography I've seen in film.... Full review

I thought this was a lesson learned long ago. Why would you use black and white when color was an IMPROVEMENT on that? Aside from the novelty value, there is no use for Black and white film in modern motion pictures.... Full review

Most horrible movie I've rented this year. George Clooney and Toby Maguire were completely not believable and sounded like they were reading cue cards. Cate Blanchett did the best she could. Don't even waste your time watching on HBO, etc.... Full review
