The movie isn't a hack n' slash, nor is it a magnificent masterpiece of a thriller, but it was certainly a lot of fun to watch, good for a light scare. Jessica Alba did very good, I didn't think that she was really a good actress, I was really surprised by how well she did. ... Full Review

The Eye is a reasonably good attempt at scaring you out of your wits; A little more attention to detail and a tad more depth to Sydney's character would have given the movie a whole better feel. The movie has offered her not only scope to flaunt her lithe figure, but has also displayed her acting skills. ... Full Review

I like "The Eye" better.....The first thing you've got to do to enjoy "The Eye" is accept Jessica Alba as a blind concert violinist..... ... Full Review

While overall, I would not categorize "The Eye" as a poor movie, neither is it a particularly good one.....Helen is shocked and confused by Sydney's inability to recognize a picture of herself..... ... Full Review

well, watchable, pun intended, and even though this isn't a great horror flick by any stretch, I don't think it'd make for a bad rental. The plot of The Eye , while formulaic, is taut and keeps things moving well enough. If you enjoyed them, then check out The Eye for more horror hokum in the same vein. The ending is very predictable ... Full Review

The only other supplements that THE EYE provides are a set of very short featurettes on the production. It's a rare instance where I can remember liking the re-make as much as I liked the original, but THE EYE is a solid psychological horror thriller-and a PG-13 one to boot. ... Full Review

The Eye is about as middle of the road as they come, but it gets enough right that it's at least worth a watch on a rainy afternoon when you've got nothing better to do with your time. There are plenty of well time jump scares and oodles of CGI ghost effects to marvel over if that's your bag but missing is the spiritualist aspect of the original film that made it unique. ...
