Whether one prefers Infernal Affairs or The Departed , the latter stands on the former's shoulders.....Infernal Affairs made the fundamental mistake, common among foreign films, of being in a foreign language.....Because not only is The Departed not among the best of Scorsese's films;....it's not even the best version of this film.....Because, Nicholson's sexual theatrics aside, The Departed is a highly entertaining movie--just not a great one..... ...
