Unfortunately for Cat, the man behind the fuzzy make-up Mike Myers isnt in the same league.
Quickly exhausting his repertoire of funny faces, its not long before Myers is resorting to smutty humour and adult innuendo completely at odds with the source material.

The Cat in the Hat" is probably the most well known of all the Dr Seuss books.
I think part of the problem as well is not just with Myers performance.
This is a disturbingly modern twist because in the original book there were no adults to speak of.
