Actually, she handles portions of Bodyguard pretty well.
For the most part, The Bodyguard offers decent entertainment, though it suffers because it never quite decides what it wants to be.
It's a decent flick but not a particularly strong one.

Overall, it's a comfortable, predictable thriller that works fairly well due to two performances that aren't that stellar on their own, but seem pretty solid when paired together.
Final Thoughts : It seems even a little more dated and corny now, but "The Bodyguard" still works moderately well, despite its flaws.

Superficial but pleasant romantic thriller that lacks substance....Yet somehow this became one of the most successful movies of its year and it does have a charm that is hard to explain.....A much more convincing plot.....The soundtrack still contains one or two highlights.... ... Full Review

"The Bodyguard" is a great silly mess of a luv story, a multimedia circus of music videos, entertainment journalism, action thriller and '60s movie melodrama carried by the dream couple of the '90s, Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner.
The playful moment leads to the off-camera release of passion that director Mick Jackson captures symbolically with a shot of her panties draped over his sword.
