This isn't the type of movie that appeals to the vast majority of the movie-going public in that it is actually interesting, and does not contain any shots of people getting hit in the nuts with Nerf bats. I typically judge... Full review

I LOVE this movie! I can see though how some would not...it is a long movie and its kind-of documentary-ish. But Its SOOOO GOOD! Casey Affleck was very triumph of an actor in this one! Same with Brad Pitt... Full review

I went in to this w/o reading any reviews and expected a good old fashioned western detailing the excitement of Jesse James life. This movie shows only his last robbery. It is essentially a very in depth look at the confused... Full review

I think this crappola of a movie is actually about two weeks long, nobody can just stand to make it to the end. The acting is okay (affleck plays a convincable coward) but there is no story, there is no plot,... Full review

Very slow and boring...fell asleep halfway through. What happened to the Clint Eastwood type westerns? Rent Transformers or go see The Hulk instead.... Full review

I think the press critics watch a different movie. I just got back from the theater. It hadn't a chance to crash & burn as it never got off the ground. You'll catch a good nap through this incredibly slow &... Full review

Dammit this is supposed to be about Jesse James, it was way more like a drama, hardly any action at all. I hope this doesn't win any awards, then every filmmaker will try to turn an action flick into a slow-paced... Full review

Highly deserving of its myriad accolades, this film flawlessly blends stunning cinematography, apt editing, a brilliant script and masterful acting.....Such visuals are truly poetic in their ability to illustrate the substance of the script.....Beautiful landscapes are presented sometimes in sweeping wide shots and sometimes from harshly static angles..... ... Allie“s abrupt introduction drastically alters the course of the story. Neither Virgil Cole nor Everett Hitch will take their place in the Western pantheon of great characters, but both are quite pleasant companions for a few hours. ... Full Review

If Dominik's intent was to further the legend of Jesse James then he has certainly succeeded. The problem with the film though is that it's more fictional than real. Roger Deaken's cinematography depicts the Wild West in harsh tones. ... Full Review

This takes a subject everyone in modern life knows now - the over-discussed and analyzed-to-death obsession with the famous - and not only grafts it onto the unlikeliest of genres, the western, but also manages to take the most overdone story of that genre, the legend of Jesse James, and make it a totally compelling ...
