The thoughtful but drab movie gives me plenty to recommend, as well as warn against.....The best thing about "Battle for Terra" is its wicked twist on the premise of alien marauders conquering a planet.....Director Aristomenis Tsirbas, working with his 2003 short as a base, doesn't condescend....The apocalyptic "Battle for Terra" puts up a decent fight....The 3-D livens up the dull moments and drab visuals, injecting a little more flavor into the action..... ... Kids seem to really enjoy the film.....The film has a very smart script....Terra could fit their needs but the current occupants all have to die to make it suitable for humans.....he is such a tremendous voice actor..... ... Full Review

The film enjoys a solid lesson, however obvious....Its integrity, merged with creative balance, makes the lesser-budget, 3D animated action film something of a welcome oddity.....Its important, weighty themes intact, "Battle for Terra" moves gracefully, keeping it simple..... ... Full Review

Battle For Terra suffers from being way too serious.....On the one hand, I always complain about American Animation being too child friendly and not serious enough....The animation is about as bland and unimaginative as you can get and the final battle is weirdly shot..... ... Full Review
