the pace is absurdly slow for what is essentially a chase movie.....that Russell Crowe's name promises a powerful lead performance.....But I hardly cared as Polson confuses the point of views and Crowe (obviously doing his mate a favour here) tries hard not to outshine the unknown co-stars.....That's the dramatic crux of Tenderness that tries to keep audiences on tenterhooks.....Aussie director John Polson gives the film a tone so downbeat it's downright dreary.... ...
