We are very happy that the film has done well and Purav gets to go abroad and be a part of the two festivals since his school will be closed for Diwali holidays.
Purav Bhandare is all excited about travelling to Rome and Amsterdam as his film Tahaan has been selected for the film festivals there Santosh Sivan's Tahaan, which narrates the story of an eight-year-old young boy and his relationship with his pet donkey, is going to the film festivals in Rome and Amsterdam.

Santosh Sivan is at his best when he works with children, and his latest is a fine example: Tahaan plays out both like a touchingly real story, as well as a fable, hinting at deeper truths beneath.
And he gets a marvelous performance from his young lead: Tahaan (Purav Bhandare) is the moving spirit of the film.

But I suspect, like his character, Tahaan, where he is unknowingly being used by terrorists, Bhandare had no clue that he was the main protagonist of this film!
He has tremendous screen presence, is a fabulous actor and has brought alive the character of TAHAAN to endear himself to the viewer, just like Safary did in TZP.

Movie Review: Tahaan - Paradise Lost
This not only reminds us that grandness does not necessitate lavishness but also shows how Tahaan is shielded from the trauma of war, which apparently is the need of the hour.

The society found the film very interesting because of its different approach and appealing cinematography.

In "Tahaan", the delightfully natural boy comes close to being a human bomb.
A limpid lyricism runs through the picaresque plot as Tahaan encounters various men - from his wise and wacky grandfather (Victor Bannerjee) and a good-hearted cranky sage (Anupam Kher) to a dimwitted womanizer (Rahul Bose) and a practical businessman (Rahul Khanna).

Anupam's in great form, Sarika's impressive, Rahul Bose looks out of sorts.
The film is essentially a paean to Santosh Sivan's skills as a cinematographer, as his camera captures the seasons and the mood the Valley, like never before.
