We are very happy that the film has done well and Purav gets to go abroad and be a part of the two festivals since his school will be closed for Diwali holidays.

Santosh Sivan is at his best when he works with children, and his latest is a fine example: Tahaan plays out both like a touchingly real story, as well as a fable, hinting at deeper truths beneath.
And he gets a marvelous performance from his young lead: Tahaan (Purav Bhandare) is the moving spirit of the film.

But I suspect, like his character, Tahaan, where he is unknowingly being used by terrorists, Bhandare had no clue that he was the main protagonist of this film!
He has tremendous screen presence, is a fabulous actor and has brought alive the character of TAHAAN to endear himself to the viewer, just like Safary did in TZP.
