Linklater is a God.

One thing I love about Richard Linklater's films are that they depend solely on slick and mature dialogue which in itself carries his films to be awesome. No exploding cars, gun fights, helicopter crashes, or any other kind of special effects.... Full review

This was a great movie every part of it was superb. It portrayed a group of average 20 somethings who may seem abnormal at first, but when you look deeper they really are just stereotypes of many different groups of people.... Full review

Really Enjoyable Movie

If "Dazed and Confused" was the 'high' then "SubUrbia" if most definitely the 'down'. It's basically the flipside of "Dazed and Confused", where youthful hedonism has been replaced by 20-something boredom. It's a post-college movie where characters have found themselves... Full review

I first saw subUrbia in probably 1997, and since then I have shared it with countless people and watched it plenty myself. Its not the sort of movie that you can put in, and then not really watch, to me... Full review

Some may say that this movie is boring because anyone can make a film of "people walking around" but I think different. I love the diolauge and development of characters in this movie. Giovanni Ribisi's acting is great. The way... Full review

I consider this one of Giovanni Ribisi's greatest acting roles... because it is so real. The entire cast portrays this in the way that I think many 20-something-year-olds can relate. I know that when I had all of my friends... Full review

After avoiding this film for years (thinking it was for kids) I caught it on cable recently and found it completely engaging. What struck me is that while it is about younger people, that audience might not embrace it. I... Full review

Eric Bogosian does it again. He made a great film with Oliver Stone (Talk Radio), and here he works wonders again with Richard Linklater (of Slacker fame). Giovanni Ribisi is marvelous. Prior to viewing this film, I thought he was... Full review

I am into individuals, and that's why I find this film fascinating and entertaining. The entire ensemble cast is superb, although special mention should be made of Steve Zahn, whose portrayal of Buff, the 'post modern idiot savant' is both entertaining and complex. ... Full Review

The entire ensemble cast is superb, although special mention should be made of Steve Zahn, whose portrayal of Buff, the post modern idiot savant is both entertaining and complex. Propelled by an upbeat music soundtrack, subUrbia is a character driven mood piece, which delves perceptively into the hearts and minds of a group of teens struggling with their inner selves. ...
