The film is colorful but low-key....Strange Wilderness' is a particularly lackluster example that seems almost completely derived from a random string of ineffective improv.....But just when the film builds up some goodwill....the son of the late legendary host of 'Strange Wilderness', a popular wildlife show that seemed to exude a certain charm and class.....Sandler just finances these film's out of a loyalty to friends that would be akin to taking a bullet -.... ... It doesn't say much for a film when the comic highlight is Steve Zahn trapping his favourite appendage in a turkey's throat.....there's nothing in this lame, low budget stoner flick....Strange Wilderness's best conceit is to impose Zahn's dim bulb narration over real wildlife footage....These gags aside, Strange Wilderness is mostly mouth-breathing gross out stuff that makes Harold and Kumar look like Some Like It Hot..... ...
