That might be more forgivable if the animation was at least good, but it simply isnt feature film quality.
The characters look alright when theyre standing still, but their limited range of movement makes them decidedly 1989.

The overall response was very enthusiastic, due to the slick and stylish animation which, like Samurai Jack , told much of its story with minimal dialogue.
Though fans may enjoy the movie, no one would be foolish enough to put it on par with the original films-the special effects and design are all spot-on, but it's still an animated copy of the real thing.

Dave Filoni was among them, so imagine his surprise when "Star Wars" creator George Lucas asked him to direct an animated film called "Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
George has said that he never wanted to do live-action films again, and when the 2004 series was received so well, he created a new studio (Lucasfilm Animation) and told me to crew up.

Jackie, the film's protagonist, works as an operator, watching the large bank of monitors, alternately bemused and intrigued by the mundane transactions that appear.
It's an unusual idea, and it will be interesting to see how it plays out, but Arnold has certainly set the bar high for the other filmmakers.
