That might be more forgivable if the animation was at least good, but it simply isnt feature film quality. The characters look alright when theyre standing still, but their limited range of movement makes them decidedly 1989. ... Full Review

The overall response was very enthusiastic, due to the slick and stylish animation which, like Samurai Jack , told much of its story with minimal dialogue. Though fans may enjoy the movie, no one would be foolish enough to put it on par with the original films-the special effects and design are all spot-on, but it's still an animated copy of the real thing. ...
