Not A Classic Beginning...But...

Look this film is a little stale, and very slow moving for a sci-fi adventure film, and isn't a classic beginning for the franchise. However it is entertaining, with some good visual effects, and is nice to see the crew together... Full review

I saw this movie in 1980, I was 13 and it was a real shock. I even watched it 2 times that day. My grade is related to the emotions that the movie gave to me. Of course watching it now... Full review

I did like the new improved visual effects directed by Robert Wise. But the movie itself dragged a lot. I just wished this movie could be somewhat faster paced so I don't have to fall asleep. Plus there's not enough action,... Full review

Now, keep in mind this is generally considered to be the worst of the films....You really do experience it all over again with a picture sharper than ever before....You can't truly appreciate those scenes until you've witnessed them in hi-def.....So the fact that these sharper images reveal even more flaws in the ....... ... These three stooges of science fiction found a warm and friendly chemistry that was apparent during the first season and their continued bickering....During its initial life on NBC, "Star Trek" was not successful.....compassion shown towards each other resulted in life-long friendships and endearing characters.....Kirk was portrayed by the legendary entertainer William Shatner, I can“t see how anybody possibly can say Picard was the better captain..... ...
