In "Stalin", megastar Cheeranjeevi plays the role of a major general, a soldier bent on serving his country to rid some of the social evils. The movie is directed by A. Murugadoss who had directed the blockbuster 'Ghazni' earlier. Reigning queen of Tamil and Telugu cinema, Trisha plays as the leading lady. Music is by Mani Sharma. A Cheeranjeevi movie release is nothing short of a festival in Andhra Pradesh. With crores of money involved and audio release done in a grand manner, the latest Cheeru flick, "Stalin" is creating unprecedented interest among the public.

Stalin (Telugu: స్టాలిన్) is a Tollywood film directed by A. R. Murugadoss. It stars Chiranjeevi in the lead role and Trisha Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Sharada Urvashi and Khushboo in supporting roles. Anushka Shetty performs an item number in the film. Shooting for the film was done at various locations in India including Hyderabad and Chennai. Songs for the film were shot in Italy and Austria. It is loosely based on the film Pay it Forward released in 2000.
