The best thing on offer is Piper Parabo, whose sparkly personality and ample comedic skill aren't given nearly enough screen time.....This being Disney the locations are lush, the set pieces elaborate, and the characters rigidly stereotypical, which actually borders on the mildly offensive..... ... it's also what makes Beverly Hills Chihuahua so endearing.....In many ways it reminded me of the wholesome movies....I'd recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys comedies about animals.....It's nowhere near as annoying as the movie from a few years ago, , but it actually has quite a lot of charm..... ... Pampered Beverly Hills Chihuahua Chloe (voice of Drew Barrymore) delights in her luxurious lifestyle and has no time to notice amorous pup Papi (voice of George Lopez), who belongs to Sam (Manolo Cardona), the landscape gardener. ... A smart script ("I love the smell of dirt in the morning", enthuses the next-door Chihuahua Papi who loves Chloe), special effects and nifty vocal casting (Drew Barrymore speaking for Chloe and Andy Garcia for her rescuer) add to the fun. Director Raja Gosnell keeps the plentiful thrills and laughs coming at a rapid pace and definitely delivers the goods with a high-spirited array of astounding animal antics that enjoyment-seeking youngsters would be barking mad to miss. ...
