Sophie's Choice is a great movie. Meryl Streep did really good job as Sophie, with her Polish accent. I love Stingo's southern accent. The scenes when Sophie is in the concentration camp are so well done. She looks so sick, like... Full review

There's not a better film to cry along with Streep that I'm aware of. Note: If you have the DVD, be sure to watch the film first before watching the excellent 53-minute documentary Death Dreams of Mourning . Pakula's commentary is well done. ... Full Review

This is a weak release for an excellent film. Because Choice was such a speech-intensive film, the somewhat weak quality of the dialogue was the biggest detriment. Sophie's Choice is one of the best movies ever made. ... Full Review
