Together, the girl and James go on a road trip and bond to many montage sequences that are meant to display whimsy, but feel out of place with the movie's otherwise bleak and morose tone.

isn't a terrible film....the picture drowsy and poorly groomed....The film is a dissection of damaged goods....in place of a steady hand guiding matters to believable and sympathetic ends, director Bill Maher (not that one) takes the picture to unwanted extremes of behavior and guilt.....Maher and screenwriter Zac Stanford ("The Chumscrubber") have a profusion of ideas and moods.... ... Theron is such a strong, astute actress, though....Sleepwalking" is well-acted but convoluted, a small-scale family drama that walks the walk....whose story is the most poignant.....The other performances are quite good, too....it is the lovely AnnaSophia Robb.... ... Full Review
