First, this movie is a bit old so I don't quite know what would be a spoiler; so, just to be safe I checked the box. I suppose that I am also telling quite a bit of what's going on so,... Full review

God, I love this movie! I was about ten the first time I saw it and it has stuck with me ever since. It definitely makes my top five. It has a great way of telling stories of what it's... Full review

Exciting if you are afraid of sexuality...

How dull! Obviously, the writer or director has a problem with sexuality. I would recommend this to those who are neurotically shy about sex or going through some process of making their minds and bodies connect. Basically a film for timid... Full review

Excellent entertainment value (for those who don't seek perfection in every fictional accounting of an event). You either like it or you don't! For those who didn't like and posted here, I am surprised you took such elaborate measures to... Full review

"Sirens" seems to have touched a nerve here. Some reviewers dismiss it as derivative soft-core drivel. Others love it. It probably helps to know that there's little derivative about the story-it's based on real people and a real incident. Sam... Full review

Funny & Inspiring, gorgeous music

Catherine Todd - imdb.com
This film was funny and inspiring, with beautiful music by Rachel Portman (the "only" female composer in films in the "top ten" almost all male composer lists). Lots in this film will stay with you; especially the scenes with Australian... Full review
I personally believe this film is "so" subtle that it cruises under the scope of the average person - no insult intended! So many say they "liked this film but..." just goes to show how subtle this film really is.... Full review

Young men go to horror movies now, not sexy films.....the movie was said to be sexy....The reason I am cheered by the film's success is....an Australian film named "Sirens" is doing strong business at the nation's box offices.....when they both take off their shirts, Elle MacPherson is in many ways to be preferred to Arnold Schwarzenegger..... ... The 4:3 Letterboxed transfer itself properly frames the film at 1.85:1 and is relatively nice looking. SIRENS tells the tale of Anthony Campion (Grant), a young minister who has been assigned the unenviable task of trying to get a prominent artist named Norman Lindsay (Neill) to withdraw several paintings from an art exhibition because the church deems them obscene. ... Hugh Grant and Sam Neill are excellent as friendly adversaries.....However, Sirens is not content merely to churn through the frothy waters of a sex comedy.....The potential is here for a delightful comedy/fantasy with an erotic edge, but certain elements of the movie work against that aim..... ... May 23, 1994 -- ``Sirens'' is even more slow moving than ``Maverick,'' in fact, it doesn't go anywhere. It is, instead, a character study. There is a lot of nudity in the film, including frontal male nudity, but surprisingly, almost... ... Full Article
