All time Indian Cinema biggest hit!!! Sholay became a milestone in Indian cinema with an all-star cast, good dialogue, stylish cinematography and a soundtrack that's still enjoyable today. The story is very enjoyable though the ending is not the typical Bollywood all happy ending. Definitely worth watching!!!

The sequence on the train is one of the best I have seen in any film. A timeless film overall. I can watch it anytime regardless of the number of times I have seen it.

This movie is just the best movie i have seen. (I have watched around 420 movies) (Its my favorite movie).It has all the elements that a good movie must have:
Excellent Dialogues.
Excellent Music.
Excellent Acting. (Even the extra's where excellent)
Excellent Story/Plot.
Good Songs.
And it has much genres, who are handled very well in this movie: Action/Comedy/Romance/Drama/Adventure/Thriller (not really, but a kind of Thriller)/Musical/Crime. Sholay is the story of a cop who arrests a dreaded dacoit and puts him in jail. Furious and mad with revenge, the dacoit escapes from prison and wipes off 'thakur's entire family. The dacoit also chops off the hands of the 'thakur'. It is now the 'thakur's turn to avenge the murder of his family and he does it from outside police system.
