My nomination for the above. I admit presenting Shakespeare as a dolt got me off to a bad start. I could find nothing compelling about the storyline, nothing remotely realistic or admirable about one single character, nothing truly inventive about the... Full review

Good movie to take the wife to or girlfriend to. Yes, Shakespeare in Love was very witty, and that's okay for best screenplay, but when it comes to best picture it doesn't hold a candle to films that hit the depths of human passion, like Elizabeth(my favorite movie this year, even though it won't with best picture because Saving Private Ryan will automatically win, however I don't think SPR deserves to win, there were a lot of weak story lines, holes, and plots), Saving Private Ryan, Pi, or Gods and Monste ...
