Seven Pounds

Although the plot is confusing at the start, I promise if you just stick it out it will be well worth your time. I stuck it out and was rewarded with a great movie. I really like the depth of all of the roles in this film. It was definately one that I will watch again.

I love this movie. I'm not normally emotional when i'm watching a movie, but this one kinda hit me. The actors do an amazing role playing their part. I don't think that there could have been anyone to play the part better than Will Smith. He fit the part so perfectly that it almost seemed as though the movie was wrote around him. It reminded me of Pay It Forward with a few more twists. It kept me on my seat trying to guess what was going to happen next. The sadness and love of this movie clashes to the point that i was overwhelmed with feelings. It made me feel so vulnerable after watching the movie. I appreciate everything more now than i ever did. I hate to say it, but this movie changed my life. Seven Pounds is not just a movie, it is a soul stirrer. It can make even the strongest people feel emotions that they never even thought existed.

I'm not sure I understood the point of this movie? Suicide is good? I'm kind of under the impression that this movie was trying a little too hard to win awards. For the record, I don't think that Will Smith is a good actor at all. I found his performance in this to be, yet again, melodramatic and heavy handed. The movie was full of performances like this. Actors "putting their game faces on", and really "trying". The story was interesting I suppose, but it was so heavy for the sake of being heavy that I don't think it succeeded in moving me in the way it wanted to. I'm glad that blind man got his eyes though.

Hit after hit, box office smash after box office smash, Will Smith does it again with Seven Pounds. I almost didn't see this movie. The preview didn't do a great job at making seem enticing, but my friend asked me to come and boy am I glad that I agreed! This movie is fantastic beyond belief! although not as good as the pursuit of happyness it was still utterly stunning. Smith is just an amazing actor and kudos to Rosario Dawson and Woody Harrelson as well. This movie is a story of redemption and life changing. It is thought provoking and emotionally tear-jerking. Go see it today!

What a treat this film was. Will Smith reminds us once again of his strength of choosing quality roles that have wide appeal. He also never, well sometimes(see Wild Wild West), leaves us without some messages to think about. You also have to love a movie that doesn’t waste a minute. That is so well threaded together that you are not allowed out of it’s trance until the final moment. This is how movies should be, well acted with genuine energy. Original and well articulated. I definitely recommend this movie if you are looking for something solid that transcends the usual formulaic fare.

I must admit, I was not very excited about seeing Will Smith play another loner seeking to find love or fight against all the power’s that be to become just this amazing demonstration of the human spirit. However, after being dragged by my best friend to see this movie, I can attest that I was deeply moved. Yes, it starts of slow and you are going through a whirlwind of brain activity trying to put everything together. But if you remain seated and enjoy the show and don’t be too analytical (I am known to pick things apart to make them make sense) you will really love this movie.

The story of this film is overwhelmingly compelling.....The acting by Smith and Dawson is completely moving.....Their scenes together perfectly portrayed the lives of two individuals so close to giving up, but after finding one another found a reason to exist..... ... Full Review
