The film's biggest assets are the zany humour....however the film picks up well during the climax.....Chunky Pandey in a double role is hilariously good.....Ranjit Barot's background music is impressive.....while Rimi gives her best performance till date..... ... Full Review

STARDUST VERDICT On the whole, 'Sankat City' is an entertaining comedy made for the discerning classes, who had earlier loved 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaron' and Vinay Pathak's flick 'Bheja Fry'.....The director should be appreciated for his effort in stitching such a narrative together in a film....Music is just passable and nothing great about that.....PERFORMANCE Kay Kay Menon, who plays the lead role of a car thief Guru in the film, is superb in essaying the character.....It seems that it has become almost a habit ...
