Terrible, Pathetic, Dreadfull. Need I say more?

This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my entire life. Just one more reason to not follow the critics lead at all as this was absolutely worthless filming. The writer or this movie should give up... Full review

I really enjoyed this film. The acting was phenomenal, these actors fit their roles perfectly. And the dialogue was clever and entertaining, very Tarantino-like.... Full review

Roger dodger is a script driven masterpiece that examines theories of manhood while presenting you with the journey of a adult into adulthood (Roger). This transforms the formulaic "player" movie into a critique on the psyche of men with the... Full review

This movie is so good because it has such great, colorful character development--specifically, developing the main character as an overbearing, unbalanced, drunken creep. His little wisdom/advice sessions go from rather obnoxious to completely ridiculous. A hilarious, offbeat, refreshing change of pace... Full review
A Sleeper Romance

I wouldn't have thought from previews that "Roger Dodger" would have an ounce of romance in it, but it does. The scene between Elizabeth Berkeley, Jennifer Beals (both very good by the way--who would have thought?) and Roger's nephew is... Full review

I remember hearing something about this film when it came out in 2002. There was not a single part of me that wanted to see it, and no part in my brain that ever thought i would. But curiosity once again... Full review

Campbell Scott's character, Roger, is not only amoral but he's someone who feeds off of his amorality, loves it. Then he is confronted with his nephew, who wants help to have sex with women but still hangs on to his... Full review

Rather unpleasant movie with a terrific performance by Scott as a quick-witted chauvinist. I liked the opening scene best, which was sharp and funny and drew Scott's character very nicely, but I felt the movie never had a clear idea... Full review

This is a wonderful tale. The life lessons of one man pushed onto his less than experienced nephew. Sex is everywhere or so the tale is told. Buy this one.... Full review

It gives us Roger (Campbell Scott), a sexual super-predator prowling the Manhattan urban jungle: complete with razor tongue, velvet cynicism and (of course) buried self-hatred. But Scott is as good as it gets, peddling the sophisto-sleaze like a pro and somehow finding pathos in bruised misogyny. ... Full Review

Roger Dodger is a little too programmed in its despair, but it coasts along on the jagged music of the modern lothario's song.....It's a portrait of a veteran Manhattan swinger, played with bitter cascading brilliance by Campbell Scott, who can talk the talk better than anyone else.... ... Curiously then, the film's biggest asset is not Kidd's caterwauling dialogue but his formal compositions.....separate genders, Roger Dodger fails to live up to the promise of the film's first scene.....Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of Roger Dodger is director Dylan Kidd's suggestion....Kidd has a particularly genuine ear for dialogue.... ...
