I really tried hard to enjoy this movie, but when you have to work that hard, the magic is gone. The main character, Hal Hefner, is unfortunately not likable. Much like the movie, he stutters - almost to make the movie... Full review

Rocket Science is not a trite, coming-of-age story about a stuttering, horny teenage kid. The characters were well-developed and I loved the narration--it was poetic yet humorous.... Full review

In short, Rocket Science is an enjoyable comedy drama with superb performances and a terrific script and its avoidance of clichs is commendable if not entirely successful.
Words are clearly of great importance to Blitz and his superb script crackles with excellent dialogue, delivered in brilliantly deadpan fashion by a terrific supporting cast.
