captures your attention, it could have gone a bit darker still, but overall Rescue Dawn is a good movie for a rent.......though accents are not the greatest, the story is entertaining....most importantly survive an escape attempt from the camp.Christian Bale in the lead role is as interesting as ever....Steve Zahn and the others do a fine job as well. The story itself reeks of PG-13isms..... ... It's good to see Herzog back in harness with actors. In this, Herzog finds another human mystery that would be hard to credit, were it not for the great sense of reality that he creates. ... Full Review

who is portrayed in the film as untrustworthy and deranged.....Certainly it's one of the better films to be released in 2008, and undoubtedly one of the better war movies of recent years.....Herzog too has come in for much condemnation from the family of Gene DeBruin -....Herzog weaves prior to its concluding 10 minutes and secondly, Herzog tends to portray the natives of Laos and Vietnam with little sympathy..... ...
