Yet another underated film with Christian Bale. One of the best dragon movies ever. Yes it's a little film; but it packs a punch. Could have been more with a better director. However still succeeds.... Full review

The movie was a B+ at best but well done given what the makers had to work with. The main character was cast well, yet the actor portrayed him as unlikeable and surley rather than bent on revenge at any cost.... Full review

Well, the visual effects were cool, the dragons looked very visious, and the movie itself was very well filmed! But, the movie had a few weak points in it; it was disappointing that we didn't see much of the dragons destroying... Full review

The script could have been a little bitter, but this movie is one of those ones I can't help but like because of one simple fact- it's kick-ass. The excellent special effects don't hurt either.... Full review

I thought this was a well made action adventure about humans who are locked in a mortal battle to take back their world from vicious fire breathing dragons. Christian Bale, Matthew McConaughey, and the rest of the cast deliver good performances.... Full review

Definitely a case of wasted potential. The only point that I really felt it captured what I wanted to see was when they got to London and saw the Parliament Buildings infested with dragons. That was pretty cool. Other than that,... Full review

Dragons killing people... people killing dragons... is about all Reign of Fire has. Now, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a lot of killing, but it can get boring. So if you're looking for killing, see this. And if you're... Full review

It probably doesnt matter, unfortunately, whether we hear the dialogue or not. The problem is that the actors have to shout to be heard above the din of the sound FX and music track, mixed together into a cacophony. ... Full Review

The basic idea for the movie is kind of fun, but it all comes across as being not thoroughly enough thought through (say that three times fast! After the opening sequence we jump in time to where Quinn (Christian Bale) is holed up in a medieval castle, trying, like some feudal lord, to protect a band of people who have sought shelter there from the dragons. ... The flying beasts look amazing and when they're in action the movie is visually exhilarating. The film (and I use that term loosely) almost plays as a demo reel for the special effects production company which created the shots. ... Full Review
