Okay, so original I Spy is not. To a cineaste who's more familiar with the conventions of buddy-by-numbers pair-ups on the big screen than the small one, I Spy is a pleasant enough diversion, often smarter than one might expect, but ultimately a pale, effervescent imitation of more effective movies that came before (much less the Eddies and Owens of Christmas past). ...
