"For those who've seen and liked Random Hearts in the cinema, the DVD brings an abundance of extra pleasures that add to the depth of involvement with the characters, the mood and the complex story of humanity that it represents.
He often comments on the many great actors who agreed to take very small roles for the film, such as Peter Coyote, Richard Jenkins, Paul Guilfoyle, Bonnie Hunt, Charles Dutton and others.

I suppose this has nothing to do with the technical merit of his latest film, Random Hearts , and I'm certainly not implying that his looks are his only good attributes as an actor.

When "Random Hearts" is good, it really is exceptional and unusually intelligent for a studio picture, but when it is mediocre (that would be the whole last 70 minutes, save for the final scene), it makes you downright frustrated.
