The second is the best in the trilogy and the first is the worst. Which only leaves place number 2 for this Rambo movie. It was above average, but nothing special. Worth the rent.... Full review

I truly believe one reason this country never gave up to the Russians is because of Rambo. Rambo made it clear who the bad guys were and who the good guys were. Rambo never gives up and we need that today... Full review

This film gives us more of what we like to see, but is marred by some incredibly cheesy subtitles that nearly botch the whole project. Stallone, as always, is good in the title role, and it is the work of himself... Full review

Aimless and unsure of what to do next, Rambo simply wanders. He drives Rambo to the edge of town and tells him, not so politely, to beat it. Rambo, not understanding the reason for Teasle's hostility, defiantly walks back into town. ... Full Review

Rambo III is bad, but in the aftermath of 9/11, it's an interesting bad, as Rambo fights along with the Afghan holy warriors to repel the mad Russians. One of the many docs in this set - which also has a trio of commentaries from writers and directors - details America's role in Afghanistan and how Rambo III chose to portray with sympathy an extremist culture that is now seen as deserving of none. ... The action scenes in Rambo III are quite good and many of them believable, though the climax While First Blood is, in my mind, the best film in the series, Rambo III is a mostly entertaining sequel that once again chooses action over character development, though there is some pathos evident in the character when he sees the plight of the Afghani people. ...
