I don't know why people hated this movie. It wasn't movie of the year, but I still liked it. I think it's a movie that everyone can relate to (without the singing) I mean it teaches us to believe in ourselves.... Full review

Hilary Duff - who reminds me of a slightly younger Renee Zellweger - carries the film's heart, but the entire cast is excellent. I am not the target market (pubescent girl I am not) but I really enjoy music and there is lots of it in this film, ranging from the classics to jazz, rock, pop and Spanish. ... Full Review

Raise Your Voice isn't abysmal (that was Duff's last outing - the cynical A Cinderella Story), it's just aggressively average.....John Corbett, as one of those inspiring music teachers who re-writes the rule book and looks inside, is obviously into her as well..... ... Full Review
